Last updated: April 2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Anjung Damai website at anjungda.sbs or engaging our family law advisory services. By accessing our website or submitting an enquiry, you indicate that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website. These terms apply to all visitors, enquirers, and clients. Anjung Damai is a family law advisory practice registered and operating in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

1. Use of the Website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the website in any manner that is unlawful or that could harm Anjung Damai, its staff, or any other party.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its underlying systems.
  • Transmit any material that is harmful, offensive, misleading, or that infringes the rights of any third party.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or copy content from this website without prior written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the website at any time and without notice where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

2. Information on This Website

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Laws and procedures applicable to your situation may differ from the general information presented here. We recommend that you seek specific legal advice tailored to your circumstances before making any decisions. No adviser-client relationship is formed by the use of this website or by submitting an enquiry.

3. Engagement of Services

The formal engagement of Anjung Damai's advisory services is subject to a separate client agreement setting out the scope of work, fees, and the rights and obligations of both parties. In the absence of a signed client agreement:

  • No duty of care or professional obligation arises from the submission of an enquiry form or an initial telephone enquiry.
  • Any information shared with us prior to a formal engagement is handled in confidence, but does not create a solicitor-client relationship.
  • Fees indicated on this website are starting points and the actual fees for a matter will be confirmed in the client engagement letter.

4. Fees and Payment

Fees for our services are as stated in the relevant engagement letter provided to you at the commencement of a matter. All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are exclusive of any applicable government taxes, disbursements, or court fees unless otherwise stated. Payment terms will be outlined in the engagement letter. We reserve the right to revise our fees for new matters and will notify you of any changes prior to commencing work.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, design, layout, graphics, and the Anjung Damai name and identity — is the property of Anjung Damai or its licensors and is protected under applicable Malaysian and international intellectual property law. You may view and print content from this website for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

To the extent permitted by law, Anjung Damai shall not be liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information provided on this website.
  • Interruptions to, or errors in, the operation of this website.
  • Any loss or damage arising from the transmission of viruses or other harmful content through third-party links on this website.
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Malaysian law.
